Saying goodbye to London has been one of the hardest things I have ever done – leaving a good job, packing up my flat to be rented, trying to see people to have one more chat/hug/tear together, giving away things and having the mother of all de-cluttering sessions (which lasted for weeks and still I had too much stuff!), trying to arrange things at the Globetrotters Club so that things continued on seamlessly, and in the midst of this my father died very suddenly necessitating a quick trip back to Oz. It has been a very difficult few months and I already miss the people and the place. For all the years I lived there I missed Australia and my friends and family and now I will be missing the UK connection – a life with two homes of my heart. I could not have done all this without the help of my UK friends (you know who you are!) and the support of my friends & family in Oz.

Jacqui, your decades of travel would be impossible to surpass. Your love of people’s and cultures is evident in every snapshot. Without knowing it, you have also captured your heart and soul in your photographs- love, honour, kindness and respect. The world needs more Jacqui Trotters! I look forward to reading more of your travel blogs
Thanks Siandra. You have the honour of ‘first commenter’ and will try and keep the standard high. Xxx
