Fast train from Bukhara to Samarqand

After three wonderful days In Bukhara, I boarded the fast train to Samarqand and noted down some of the things I could see out the window as the afternoon turned into evening.ย

Railway staff in smart uniforms and thick coats

Brown 

Black winged birds

Electricity pylons stretching for miles

Travelling @ 156km/hr says the screen

Occasional car

Grey skies

Patches of green ?rice

Old cotton fluff on the dead stalks

Cattle skinny with horns

Tractor with hay

Lone donkey in cotton field

Ploughed fields

Black chickens

Canals for irrigation

Autumn burn-off/smoke

Waiting @ the level crossing

Industry ? What

Goods trains mobile and still

Poles ++++

Flat with shadowy mountains in the distance

City lights – we are here!
